FLSmidth has secured an order for engineering, supply, and installation of the new CataMax™ catalytic solution for a U.S. cement producer.
The order includes a new filter installation with catalytic elements, ID fan, flue gas ducts and dust transport equipment.
The CataMax catalytic solution uses ceramic elements with an embedded catalyst; the porous elements not only remove dust particles from the flue gases, but the catalyst embedded will also remove total hydrocarbons (THCs) and organic hazardous air pollutants (O-HAPs) in the flue gas.

The National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) are emissions standards set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The U.S. is leading the way by having the most stringent regulations in the world today within the cement industry.
