June 19, 2014 Claus Ellemann

Within two months, FLSmidth has been awarded two new cement projects in Indonesia, one for PT Semen Padang and one for PT Semen Gresik, both part of PT Semen Indonesia Group.

Semen Indonesia Group is Indonesia’s largest cement producer with a total annual output of approximately 30 million tonnes cement. Its relationship with FLSmidth is already well-established. Four of PT Semen Padang’s production lines and all four existing lines at PT Semen Gresik’s Tuban plant were supplied by FLSmidth. The two most recent lines supplied to Semen Indonesia Group were commissioned in 2012.

Semen Padang
The new cement production line at PT Semen Padang’s site in Indarung in West Sumatra will add 8,000 tpd to the plant’s clinker capacity. FLSmidth will provide equipment for the main part of the production line, including a raw mill, coal mill, preheater, kiln, burner, clinker cooler and silo equipment as well as a complete control system for the entire plant.
