During 2013, six Cross-Bar coolers were successfully installed in China. Four of them are now in operation.
At CUCC Jiyuan, China’s first complete Cross-Bar cooler was installed between April and July. The cooler includes a hammer crusher located in the cooler outlet and is now successfully serving the 4,000 tpd cement production line.
Yadong Ruichang has had two Cross-Bar coolers installed, serving lines 5 and 6, respectively. One was completed in April, the other at the end of the year. Each have a capacity of 7,000 tpd, and this is the first time in China that the HRB crusher is located in the central part of the Cross-Bar cooler.
Cross-Bar cooler achieves several firsts in China
In July, Shitou & CUCC had a 6,000 tpd Cross-Bar cooler installed complete with HRB crusher located in the cooler outlet. This is the first Cross-Bar cooler in China designed for extremely cold weather conditions, and installation was completed within a record time of 60 calendar days.
Chamdo Gao-zheng cement plant, another site with harsh winter conditions, had a new Cross-Bar cooler installed towards the end of 2013. The plant is situated in Chinese Tibet at an altitude of 3,300 metres, the highest location of any Cross-Bar cooler in the world.
At Helin 2, a Cross-Bar cooler including HRB crusher has recently been put into operation.
2014 is due to see the installation of three more Cross-Bar coolers at various locations around China.
