Emission reporting MCERTS certified

FLSmidth's ReportLoq™ emission reporting system has recently received MCERTS certification, which ensures the solution complies with standards required by our customers.

The ReportLoq system, developed by FLSmidth’s Gas Analysis and Reporting technology center in Mariager, Denmark, has recently passed the British MCERTS certification. The certification states that the software is built and maintained using a software lifecycle that complies with the MCERTS Data Management standard. This means that data are handled without secret or obscure calculations, and that any changes to data or regulations can be traced via its audit trail.

“The MCERTS certification means our customers can have peace of mind in using the ReportLoq emission reporting system and it will enable FLSmidth to market the solution to customers throughout the world,” - Christian Markussen, Global Product Line Manager, Gas Analysis and Reporting.

Trouble-free certification
Not only has the software passed the certification, but it has also been the fastest and the most trouble-free certification since the MCERTS standard was introduced in 2007. The main assessment report, authored by Dr. Martin Lloyd, comments on the software lifecycle that “…its use of software tools is exemplary…” and, “It should be recorded that all these tools are used in their free community editions. Their use shows what can be achieved without spending a lot of money on software licences.“

The ReportLoq emission reporting system has already been delivered to Quinn Cement, Ireland, and South Ferriby Cement Plant, UK, as well as several plants in Scandinavia and will be quoted in future FLSmidth projects where emission reporting is required.
